Releasing scores, responses and the correct answers of a test or assignment is an option is a great way to provide instant feedback. In Edulastic you have the choice of having this information released once the students have submitted their test or assignment or you can choose to release the scores manually. The following will walk you through how to release assessment score and feedback to students.
In Edulastic you can chose from 4 options when configuring your Release Scores settings. You can chose from the following:
- DO NOT RELEASE SCORES OR RESPONSES
- RELEASE SCORES ONLY
- RELEASE SCORES AND STUDENT RESPONSES
- RELEASE SCORES, STUDENT RESPONSES AND CORRECT ANSWERS
Configuring this setting is an option that is available to you in a few different ways. When creating a test you'll find the different Release Scores options in the Settings tab.
If you want to manually release the scores, set to Release Scores option to "DO NOT RELEASE SCORES OR RESPONSE". Once your students have taken the test you can manually release the adjust the Release Scores settings in the Live Class Board. To do this select the 3 dots at the top right side of the page and then select "Release Score"
From here you'll see a screen pop up giving you the option to adjust the release scores settings. To Manually release the scores simply click one of the three option available to release scores. one you have selected the choice that you're looking for click the APPLY button.
Let's take a look at what the students see's on their end.
If you have selected to not release the scores you'll notice below that the student has completed the test but don't yet have a score. If they were to click on the green REVIEW button they still wouldn't have access to the score.
Below is an example if the student clicked the green REVIEW button when you haven't released the score.
Once you release the scores for the students to see, you'll notice that their score is published on their main screen. In order for them to see review the test in better detail they'll need to click the green REVIEW button.
After they have selected the green REVIEW they'll see this page. As you can see they are given a performance summary and if you gave the student overall feedback they'll also see that feedback here. From here you'll want to the student to click the blue REVIEW RESPONSES button
Once they have selected the blue REVIEW RESPONSES button, they'll be able to navigate through each question and review all the options you selected for them to be able to view. In the example below I selected the RELEASE SCORES, STUDENT RESPONSES AND CORRECT ANSWERS option when configuring my Release Scores setting.
