Step 3: Use SnapScore to Grade Student Assignments

To grade with SnapScore, teachers will generate a bubble sheet for the assessment.

Bubble sheets can be generated only for assessments that contain one or more of the following question types:

  1. Multiple Choice
  2. Multiple Select
  3. Text Entry
  4. Numeric
  5. Constructed Response

Please note that the bubble options will only be shown for the following question types: Multiple Choice, Multiple Selection and True/False.

A blank space will be shown for all other question types and will be treated as skipped after teachers scan the QR code on the sheet. They will then need to manually enter those scores.

To Generate Bubble Sheet:

Go to Assessments tab

Select the assessment title to get to classes that have been assigned the assessment

Select Actions, Generate Bubble Sheet.

You will be prompted to download the bubble sheets at the top of the page. A bubble sheet with an unique QR code will be generated for EACH student in your class. Students fill in their bubble sheets and hand them back to you when complete.

You will then scan the bubbled answer sheets, along with the QR code for each student after you login to the SnapScore app on your phone.

Results will then be automatically populated back in the Live Class Board in Edulastic. Remember to manually score those questions types that were marked as skipped.

We have had a couple of instances where teachers using SnapScore have found that a particular answer just won't scan. Not to worry. You can manually enter scores for answers that do not have a bubble or won't scan.

Click on Assessments.

Click on the desired assessment.

Click on the appropriate class period.

As seen below, click on Express Grader and Score Entry or Response Entry.

Now you can enter the missing data!!
