Roles and Permissions in Edulastic

In Edulastic, each view has progressively more information.  In this article you will see a summary of the content each role can access.

Student:

  • The student sees his/her current assignments on the Dashboard.  
  • Assessments has current and past assignments to track progress.
  • The Skill Report shows student and parents the progress-to-date toward mastering the standards assessed.
  • Manage Class is where the student can join a class with the class code or see the classes he/she is enrolled in.

The Teacher and Co-Teacher:

 

  • The teacher sees his/her classes and most recent assignments on the Dashboard.  
  • Assessments has current and past assignments assigned to the students, including any assessment created by the teacher that is in progress (draft), published, and/or assigned.The teacher also sees the
  • Question Bank and Library with which to build and assign assessments. Reports will show the teacher the progress of their students.
  • Reports will show the teacher the progress of their students.
  • Manage Class is where the teacher can create his/her classes, add students, edit passwords, enable Text to Speech (premium only), and import demographic information.
  • A co-teacher sees the exact same information as the teacher

The School Admin:

  • The School Admin sees the  most recent common assessments assigned to teachers at his/or her school on the Dashboard.  
  • The Library and Question Bank are available for the School Admin to find, build and assign common assessments.
  •  Reports will show the School Admin the progress of all students and all classes at the school.
  • Manage School  is where the School Admin can add teachers and students, edit passwords, and import student demographic information.

The District Admin:

  • The District Admin sees all of the common assessments assigned to teachers in his/or her district on the Dashboard.  
  • The Library and Question Bank are available for the District Admin to find, build and assign common assessments.
  • Reports will show the District Admin the progress of all students and all classes in the district.
  • Manage District is where the District Admin can:
    • add schools, teachers, and students
    • edit passwords, and import student demographic information
    • add, delete and edit classes and courses
    • set district-wide performance bands, mastery levels and standard
